Duncanville’s Debra Carlson Runs for Dallas County Judge

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

We have another local candidate for Dallas County Judge, former Duncanville city employee Debra Carlson. She would be considered a long shot at this point, but then the same was true of current Dallas County Judge Jim Foster.

Foster, however, rode a Democratic party surge into office as did current Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez. Carlson is running as a Libertarian, which will make things more difficult.

Cedar Hill City Councilman Wade Emmert is running for the Republican County Judge nomination, and former Cedar Hill School Board member Ken Mayfield has a battle for his District 4 county commission seat on his hands.

BSW Citizen and Political Press Releases

Monday, July 20th, 2009

As you have no doubt noticed, we have been running news on Dallas County Judge candidate Wade Emmert. We haven’t endorsed anyone and are not playing any favorites with our coverage. Wade has been sending us news on the campaign, and we’ve been running it.

We will gladly do the same for any county judge candidate. My whole purpose here is to stimulate debate about the local political process. So if you support another candidate and haven’t seen their message represented here, please have someone get in contact with Brian Allen at brian@bswcitizen.com or call 972-293-2991. By the way, that applies to all political races really, or news tips in general. I want to hear from you guys.
